White spirit D40 and D60 are refined, de-aromatised petrols, so-called D-benzenes, which are also known as e.g. white spirit, cleaning spirit, white spirit or turpentine substitute. Test benzenes belong to the group of heavy benzenes and are distinguished by different boiling cuts. White spirit contains volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The term white spirit refers to the fact that, depending on the type, the petrol is tested for a certain boiling range and flash point.

Usage
White spirits D40 and D60 are used by the industry as solvents and diluents. They can be found in adhesives and paints such as varnishes or wood preservatives. They are also used as fuel, detergents, lubricants, binders and release agents, rolling oils, de-icing agents, chemicals for water treatment, polymer processing and production, in road and construction applications and in laboratories.
