Frigutec® HDC
Frigutec® HDC with nitrite is a silicate-free engine coolant concentrate for heavy-duty engines based on 1,2-Ethanediol (MEG) and state-of-the-art organic acid technology (OAT). This coolant has been specially developed for improved cavitation protection in heavy-duty cast iron engines. Frigutec® HDC provides excellent protection for the engine cooling system against corrosion, overheating, and frost.
Frigutec® HDC has been specially developed for heavy-duty cast iron diesel engines operating under special operating characteristics with a long duty cycle at or near the maximum rated conditions. Such engines are typically used in off-highway machinery for agriculture, mining, earthmoving, construction, high power stationary engines, locomotives, and marine engines.
The product is free from 2-ethylhexanic acid, borate, amine, phosphate, and silicate. We recommend it only for vehicles where nitrite containing coolants are specified according to ASTM D4985 and ASTM D6210. For all other heavy-duty engines, we recommend using our Frigutec® OAT-EVO.

Frigutec® HDC was specifically developed to meet the requirements of nitrite-containing coolants for heavy-duty and diesel engines. The coolant significantly exceeds the requirements of ASTM D6210 for fully formulated glycol-based radiator antifreeze for heavy-duty engines.

Application
Frigutec® HDC offers excellent year-round protection against frost and corrosion.
The concentrate must be diluted with water before use. We recommend a mixing ratio of 1:1 in volume with demineralised or distilled water. Under no circumstances should the engine coolant be used with less than 40 vol.% or more than 60 vol.% water. Please always follow the official service instructions of the OEMs.
